COPAA would like to thank the Hollywood couple for supporting the cause of the
displaced people in Pakistan. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation has donated $1 million to help
displaced people in Pakistan. The three million people in Pakistan who are internally
displaced due to the government's action in the north, consist mostly of women and
children. The lack of clean drinking water and shortage of food is creating an
unprecedented nightmare scenario for the NGO's that are helping the displaced.
We hope that when Jolie appears on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 and joins the
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to talk about The World Refugee Day, it brings the
much needed attention to the worsening situation of the IDPs.
